Your pregnancy scan schedule, simply explained

Ultrasound is a safe, radiation-free way to monitor your baby's growth and wellbeing. Your gynaecologist will advise the exact timing, but here's a general guide to the common scans.

Dating & viability scan (around 6–9 weeks)

Confirms the pregnancy, checks the heartbeat and estimates your due date.

NT scan (around 11–13 weeks)

Assesses your baby's development and, combined with blood tests, screens for certain conditions.

Anomaly scan (around 18–22 weeks)

A detailed check of your baby's organs, spine and limbs to make sure development is on track.

Growth & Doppler scans (third trimester)

Monitor your baby's size, position and blood flow as you approach delivery.

Please note: under India's PC-PNDT Act, we never determine or disclose the sex of the baby. Every scan is purely for medical assessment.
